SUBMISSION Guidelines
The NWI will accept fiction or nonfiction submissions from any genre, but here are a few guidelines to be mindful of before you apply:
- Works should be fewer than 5,000 words
- Works should be school appropriate (yes, we'll check and judge for ourselves)
- Works should be edited and revised to your liking
- Works should be your original writing (not Judy Blume's, your friend's, or your cat's)
- Non-fiction works should be honest anecdotes, like a chapter of a memoir
- The last day to submit revisions, author bios, and new pieces is May 15th
If you want a brief author bio to be included at the end of the book, include one with your submission! Bios can run up to 250 words.
Once you're happy with your work, share it over Google Drive with [email protected]
